You guys know that I love T-shirts. I couldn’t write about them as much as I do if I didn’t. And I know that you guys love T-shirts, too. You wouldn’t be as good at your jobs as you are if you didn’t.
But how much does your end-user love your T-shirt?
That’s the make-or-break question of a successful promotion. (After all, if end-users love it, they’ll want to wear it all the time. And more wears means more impressions.)
It isn’t always easy to determine what will make something stick, but your goal always should be to provide the wearer with something they will love.
So, here’s my question:
Have your end-users ever loved one of your clients’ shirts so much that they wanted to use it in an epic prank, where they grabbed 60 of their friends to wear that very shirt in their yearbook photos, ensuring that it will be remembered forever?
If the answer is no, it looks like you have a new bar to surpass. (If the answer is yes, I want to hear that story!)
According to Yahoo News, Dave Husselbee, a junior at Sleepy Hollow High School in West Chester, N.Y., showcased his love for a bright yellow Hawaiian shirt in that very way. He convinced nearly 60 of his fellow students—and teachers—to rock the look, so the shirt appears constantly throughout the book.
Now every time students flip through the pages they’ll be reminded of the shirt and the memory. Talk about leaving a lasting impression.
